IN2 innovates with programs designed to pique teen interest in STEM. From events that connect students with mentors, ignite their creative problem solving skills with real-world challenges, and activities that expand students’ career interests, IN2 drives Illinois’ STEM pipeline by encouraging new STEM talent and connecting current industry leaders with future ones. IN2’s pipeline programs are guided by IMSA’s foundational philosophy of equity and excellence underpinning its mission to ignite and nurture creative, ethical, scientific minds than advance the human condition.
Girls IN2 STEM – IN2’s pipeline mentoring program for girls who love STEM challenges and activities. Girls IN2 STEM not only sparks their interest but helps them discover the potential for females in STEM by connecting 6-8th graders with female high school STEM leaders and women successfully in STEM careers.
IN2’s HEALTH HACK – High school students from across Illinois team up to develop solutions to real world problems like childhood lead poisoning and obesity. Subject matter experts from all facets of industry provide insight and guide students to successful solutions.
PowerUP! – Sponsored by ComEd, middle school students and parents solve real world problems, like what to do when the lights go out. . . and stay out, in an action packed, expert run energy scrimmage.
Teen STEM Café – Interactive STEM teen talks and activities that look at concepts and careers in cyber security, engineering, astrophysics and more.
